1. Co-worker N came in today around 9am and took over for me, so I gratefully thanked him (with what little remained of my voice) and fled. Decided to do the smart thing and went to Urgent Care, where they gave me a face mask (bleh) and promptly sent me for a chest x-ray. It is, in fact, the first night of Hanukkah (or however you spell it), and Morgan and I actually dug out our menorah and lit candles and said prayers. This is not something that happens all that often around here, so we're pretty pleased. Morgan also surprised me with a small present of a Nanoblock elephant! For those who cared, Dad ended up being an extra for a scene in Ringer, which is apparently Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show? They needed extras with formal wear and he owns a tux so he spent the night in the Museum of Natural History pretending to be at a fund-raiser with other people in formal wear. We had to get maintenance out to fix our toilets. Again. They're both now fixed, I cleaned the bowls and everything, they flush properly, and I'm afraid to use them for fear of them clogging again. This is so not cool, guys ( Read more... )
